The future, as I see it.

Hi everyone! My name is Sergiy Vorobiov and I’m CEO and founder of BrandProtect. Being engaged in entrepreneurial activity and company management for almost 30 years, I have come to know thousands of brands and witnessed both the prosperity and decline of many projects. I have always felt optimistic about the future. And despite all the difficulties of 2020, I enjoy what I see today.

Today the cryptographic data protection is quite common and is becoming used more and more widely, gradually becoming an essential part of various goods and medicines. Digital certificates have become habitual and are used so commonly, that we don’t even pay attention when we use them.

Synergic effect of rapid development of cryptographic technologies, IPFS, DLT, mobile applications, and smartphones will lead to further surges in widespread usage of digital certificates throughout the economy. The rise of goods tokenization and digital goods protection technologies will also contribute to this process.

The time for crypto protection of goods and medicine has come

Ten years ago virtually no one knew about SSL certificates. Websites with certificates were around, but people didn’t pay attention. Today, we don’t go to a website that doesn’t have such a certificate. Of course, there are some exceptions but today we can’t imagine a popular Internet resource without SSL certificates.

Similar trends can be observed today in regard to digital certificates and goods protection. An interesting fact is that medical goods are in the lead of this process, closely followed by luxury goods. Certificates are used both for online and offline sales.

The proliferation of digital goods protection arose due to objective reasons, not fashion or marketing fraud schemes.

Buyers always want to understand what they pay for. Digital certificates allow you to check all the specifications and data on the goods. The data is provided by the manufacturer automatically, so there is no risk of human mistake and no need to fill out forms manually.

It is not that crucial for offline sales - goods can be verified in person. Basically, you can touch what you buy. However, for some goods that are virtually impossible to check “manually” digital protection is also quite viable. All these factors bring us to the surge of digital protection for medical goods sold offline.

But for online purchases, digital certificates are the only way for consumers to verify goods authenticity. Even photos can not provide sufficient information to allow for informed consumer decision. People want something that will provide comprehensive information on any product they see and that will make sure that information can’t be tampered with. Therefore, any technology that can adopt this gives any company implementing it a huge advantage in the eyes of buyers.

Digital certificates are a legit tool to ensure a steady flow of new customers and keep the old ones engaged.

In addition, the amount of protected information that can be conveyed via a digital certificate becomes a very important competitive advantage, as consumers will be able to make more important decisions.

BrandProteсt demonstrates it in full: it bears all data on the goods provided by the manufacturer: when and where it was made, who the manufacturer is, ingredients and components used, their quality, origin, and other essential criteria.

BrandProteсt provides consumers with access to complete data on any protected goods and ensures data authenticity.

Your smartphone becomes not only a communication and payment device but turns into a control system that allows you to check and verify all certificates and get all the information about the goods in question.

Production and distribution of counterfeit is quite a profitable business, and not only small frauds realized that, but also the representatives of big criminal gangs. You never know who’s behind a small sales point of fake handbags in a spontaneous market or a nondescript shop of pseudo-branded watches. Counterfeit production is a state crime, the same as the distribution of goods under someone’s name or without the permission of official brand owners.
